The importance of human touch

At this time of human history, when on daily basis more and more aspects of our lives are being transferred to the „virtual” world, where the human touch doesn’t exist, seeking and proving therapeutic touch is a must for our bodies and psyches to function harmoniously.  Our bodies cannot evolve and change with the speed that modern civilization does and the human touch has always been an essential aspect of human growth, mental and physical well being. Our parasympathetic nervous system that is responsible for balancing, body-relaxing responses needs soothing touch for proper functioning of the entire system – our body.
